/ STONE FIELDS - ALBUM LANCH /
Katoomba singer-songwriter, Ben Connor’s, new album, ‘Stone Fields’ is a culmination of 25 years of song writing, and is his best of the last 15. Having shunned the costly enterprise of producing an album for too long, Ben has put his best to the test with time, money, high calibre session musicians and top-of-their-game sound engineers to produce a professional album of bluesy alternative rock that soothes, entertains and elicits a few deep-felt emotions. Dark, with splashes of light, layered with instrumental palates and propelled by his special brand of husky baritone vocals, ‘Stone Fields’s’ finely crafted songs journey through love, fatherhood, contemplations on mortality, majestic and mythical landscapes and more. And all the while, Ben’s formidable guitar playing features, giving us texture and tone, and lilting and roller-coaster melodies as it croons, coos, screeches and screams to the accompaniment of a flawless rhythm section.
Replicating the album experience, this event will feature a full band, with Davor Opacak on bass, Frankie Symes on Drums and Stuart Christie (The Butterman) on midi keyboard and rhythm and lead guitar.
‘Stone Fields’ will be released on Thursday 2 February 2023.

Another Blue Mountains local, andie’s unforgettable voice has lured listeners in the millions world wide. Gaining a hefty international YouTube following in her teenage years for covers she made uniquely her own, andie soon caught the eye of major players in the industry, including SONY, and opportunities followed. Preferring to calve her own path, however, andie has since established herself as a formidable songwriter and performer. With three EPs and a live album under her belt, andie shows no signs of stopping and, if streaming stats are anything to go by, neither does the growth of her audience – andie’s knockout track ‘one foot in the grave’ now fast approaching 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Standing at 4’11 and half, with steel lungs and an infectious smile, this largely self-taught and immensely passionate soul/jazz/folk musician delivers an intoxicating live performance that is not to be missed.
